Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) is responsible for the management and development of Queenstown Airport. The airport provides world-class facilities and an outstanding customer experience. The airport is a domestic and international entry point to Queenstown, one of the world’s premium visitor destinations, and enables direct access to the Southern Lakes region, an area of iconic scenery and experiences.
It is governed by an independent board of directors and is owned by two shareholders, Queenstown Lakes District Council (the majority shareholder) and Auckland International Airport Limited.
It is a strategic regional and national asset which contributes to the vibrancy and prosperity of the regional communities that it serves, and the wider New Zealand economy. The airport provides access to daily air services to and from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, as well as direct trans-Tasman services to the east coast of Australia.
In addition to Queenstown Airport, it manages Wanaka Airport’s day-to-day operations and provides property maintenance services at the Glenorchy Airstrip. It is also a base for a range of general aviation activities and is also New Zealand’s busiest heliport.

Post Name: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

It is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the business. The new CEO will bring with them extensive leadership experience, a high degree of commercial and strategic acumen, and a proven ability to build strong and lasting stakeholder relationships.

Candidates should possess the following skills, experiences, and attributes:

• Significant CEO or senior executive experience, and experience of working with a board of directors;
• A strong understanding of high-value strategic infrastructure assets and / or property holdings;
• Experience in customer-facing businesses and a strong commitment to customer centricity;
• Experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and the ability build great relationships with Council, community, and commercial stakeholders;
• Proven leadership of a robust health and safety culture;
• Outstanding people leadership skills, a high degree of integrity, and a track record of delivering great results.
