Starting pay range: $30,000-$32,000.

The Full-Time Hall Director position is a 12-month live-in position. The pay range is $30,000 – $32,000, commensurate with experience, plus a Commonwealth of Virginia benefits package. A furnished apartment, professional development funds and a partial meal plan is also provided.

The Full-Time Hall Director will select, train, supervise and evaluate 11-18 resident advisers; plan and implement residence hall educational and social events; interpret and enforce university and residence hall policies; advise Community Activities Board (hall council); Involvement in committee work for the Office of Residence Life; instruct RA class and study skills class; implement check-in and check-out procedures and provide referrals to other university services. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to work with a live-in Faculty in Residence member.

The successful candidate will have significant experience with college or university residence hall management and staff supervision. Flexibility and ability to manage daily changes and challenges is vital.

• Residence life experience
• Supervisory experience
• Student conduct experience
• Group advising experience
• Administrative/management experience
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred.
