Post Name: Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team in the Bell Block office. As a member of the Engineering Department the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning the maintenance of all company plant and equipment. This includes managing all maintenance data using the electronic maintenance system and liaising with key personnel to ensure maintenance work is carried out on time and in line with industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scoping maintenance work, ordering parts and issuing work to internal staff or 3rd party contractors.
• Coordinate routine maintenance activities and plant shutdowns including organizing and supervising 3rd party contractors.
• Administering the computerized maintenance management system (MEX).
• Update MEX records to close work orders.
• Load routines and equipment servicing requirements as required (e.g. new equipment / facilities).
• Provide input to maintenance policies, standards and procedures.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Tertiary or trade qualified in instrumentation, electrical or mechanical engineering or fitting preferable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills including MS Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills in relation to planning, attention to detail, record keeping, administration and the meeting of deadlines.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety systems, procedures, and legislation specific to the energy industry.
