Post Name: Process Specialist II – Inserts

Primary Purpose:
Under general direction of a supervisor or a manager, assist in giving work assignments and direction to the workers in the assigned department to meet EHS, Quality, and Production goals.

Location:- Torrance, CA

Key Responsibilities:-

• Must be authorized to train employees in LTV (Lock, Tag, and Verify) in assigned areas as required
• Must be knowledgeable of applicable requirement pertaining to the safe operation of the equipment
• Participate in EHS activities to meet facility goals
• Must perform 5s and train employees in designated the area
• Active involvement in performance management activities to support production
• Responsible for AM activities in designated area
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance on department equipment following established guidelines and procedures
• Ensure the department produces quality products and train operators in different areas
• Must support and aid the operators to perform set-ups and troubleshoot machines
• Monitor the daily output of the operators to make sure they are meeting their standards
• Monitor all operations and ensure the product is flowing as required

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be able to make a layout from a part print, and/or prepare work instruction for assembly areas (time studies, observation sheet, etc.) as required
• Must be knowledgeable in different processes and specifications in assigned area
• Must be flexible, self-motivated, positive attitude and have solid communication skills
• Must have good leadership skills and good common sense
• Fluent in English; read, write, and speak. Second language skill is a plus.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:-

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on Index Machines
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
